Easier Backpacking Trip
Morgan-Monroe State Forest (map)
This will be an easier trip of about 10 miles. We'll be starting at the Back Country trail head hiking a clockwise direction. We'll hike about 5 miles and find a campsite in the back country area to camp at for the evening. Sunday we'll continue the loop hiking another 5 miles through the Rock Shelter and back to the parking lot. We'll meet in Indy at 9am to carpool and caravan.

I'll be sending out a logistics email closer to the event. We'll be meeting at the Kroger on the south side of town at 9am. If you look at the place section in this event it has the details about the carpooling and caravaning information.

Looking forward to the trip. I have volunteered to adopt the Backcountry Area of the Low Gap Trail for this upcoming year. I would also like to talk to you guys about bringing the Indy Backpackers Club to the Boat Sport and Travel Show next year.
They have a club area I went and volunteered fo Leave No Trace this year and had a great time and meet alot of nice people with the same interests. Also you would get into to the Show for free and be able to also enjoy the show.
